The next First Friday Public Viewing Night is at 1900, September 4, at Arbor Gardens Park in Moore.
Sunset will be at 1952; the moon sets before sunset.
The forecast is for clear skies, Temps will be in the 80s. Winds will be moderate. It should be a great evening for viewing the night skies!

I have family coming in this weekend. I don’t know we may stop by.
The weather looks good, as of this am. I will try to make it to Arbor Gardens (with OU game on the radio).

Everyone keep in mind that tonight is the season opener first home game for OU football. Traffic could be a problem. 
Not much traffic here. 
There were a couple of clouds when I got here, but clear now. A bit breezy.

Still one family here, but most have left. Lots of kids and bedtime was approaching. We’re estimating at least 20-25 visitors tonight. A great night !

Hi there, I haven’t been to an event before. I’m looking to bring around 8 space-interested teenagers to the next event First Friday. Do I need to tell them anything other than the time/place and to stay with their parent/responsible adult, dress appropriately for the weather, and be nice to the awesome volunteers?
That sounds about right. Be sure to check this thread in case the event is cancelled (weather).
I bring groups out from my club. Make sure they know not to touch people’s scopes without permission. I always emphasize that.
