For those of you considering purchasing the ZWO Seestar S30, or even the S50, you might want to check this out. ZWO is announcing the S30 Pro. Pre-orders to start in June, shipping sometime later this year, price undetermined at this time. (some of you may have noticed pricing for products made overseas are somewhat in a flux right now…)

Here’s another video on the S30 Pro, and a lot of other new stuff from NEAF 2025. The S30 portion runs from minute 16-23. It has a little bit more on the S30 than the previous one does, but very similar.
It was fun to watch some of the other new gear at NEAF, too!
For anyone considering getting an S30 Pro, you might want to buy now. I’m reading that the price is going to go up soon. Not sure why, when or how much.
Update: Woodland Hills is indicating the price will go up $100 soon. Can’t verify that; just be aware you might save as much as $100 if you buy soon.
The Seestar S50 has been discontinued by ZWO and is no longer in production, with stock not expected to be replenished. The company is transitioning to new models, such as the S30 Pro, while rumors suggest an “S50 Pro” may be in development for 2027. Existing users can still expect software support, but new units are unavailable.
Wow. I haven’t heard the S50 was discontinued. I’d say that’s a pretty good sign something new is coming out soon. S50 Pro? S80? ZWO apparently has some big plans in the works.
One thing I like is they stop selling the old model before they announce the new model. I hate it when I finally decide to buy something, then a week later the company announces a new model.
