I received a new ZWO AM7 and tried it out this weekend from my backyard, light pollution and all. While I think the image still could use a bit of tweaking I thought I would share it here. It used to be that for pinpoint stars you either had to struggle with less expensive mounts or mortgage your soul and get a high end mount. Not any more. I was really impressed with the quality and accuracy of the mount. You get the same pinpoint stars with both the expensive equatorial mount as well as one that costs 1/3 as much and you can hold with one hand. Plus, the AM series is much more convenient for going portable which was my main reason to get one. Rosette: SHO Rosette(Hubble Palette)
