TFOP: Contributing to TESS Exoplanet Discoveries

If you’re interested in becoming a citizen scientist and helping our professional astronomers in their exploration of the universe, this is a seminar on how you can contribute to confirming exoplanets.

I know. “How can my itty bitty telescope detect exoplanets? Don’t you need a 40” telescope or bigger, or even a space telescope, to detect exoplanets?” Don’t ask me. Register and attend this seminar by the AAVSO and find out!

I’m helping to detect exoplanets using my Unistellar telescopes and coordinating with the SETI Institute. But you have to have a Unistellar scope to participate in that. This is a way you can contribute to science with your current equipment.

It’s at 1300 (1pm) CDT this Saturday, 6 September. More information and the link to register is at:

If you can’t make it this Saturday (I’m taking another online class at that same time), videos on this, and other seminars AAVSO have conducted in the past are available at:

It’s free!
