Deep inside Cygnus is a little known or imaged nebula: the emission nebula SH2-124 and its associated planetary LDU1. This is my narrow band image (SHO) of the object using a Takahashi FSQ106 exposing for 7.5 hours. The framing and image adjustment expose what I call the Running Rabbit.; the head, feet and cotton tail are clearly visible. The planetary is the bright circle in the throat of the rabbit. The background stars within the Milkyway have been reduced to enhance the object. This object is about 8480 light years away.
