Rosette Nebula (12/13 - 12/14/2025)

Had a really decent sky last night and very light wind (less than 5 mph). Enjoyed the meteor shower and seeing the Beehive Star Cluster (Praesepe) without the use of a telescope. The Seestar S30 went right to work and captured the Rosette Nebula

Did you see many meteors? I looked for a few minutes but didn’t see any. I see the wind did died down. Is that image from the native field of view on the S30?

Yes, some were short & dim, while others lasted longer and were brighter. Had a few double-taps & triple-taps (a 1, 2 … and a 1, 2, 3 in a row). Pretty cool

Dave, to answer your other question … no, I set the frame to 1.5. BUT … here are a couple of photos at the native field of view (1.0) from last night. For those reading in, the photos are from the Seestar S30, clear skies and light wind all weekend
