One of my Targets for OkieTex was the Orion Nebula. Not because it is hard to see or find but because it’s dynamic light range is so massive. On one end you have to integrate for hours to get good definition of the wispy nebula and on the other end you have to wear sunglasses when viewing the Trapezium with binoculars. This image is using PixInsight’s HDR process which is a robotic program for masking different exposure levels. The setup and image data are:
