A company called Reflect Orbital in California has submitted a proposal to the FCC to offer, for a fee, reflected spot sun lighting from space. According to the reflectorbital.com website, they propose to put 50,000 or more mirror satellites in orbit by 2035.
The period for making public comment to the FCC ends very soon, on March 9. Information about the proposal and instructions on making public comment can found at the following link. If this is something you feel you should share with your members, please feel free.
