I don’t post often. So I may not get this right.
I went out to CRO for the Jupiter-Mars conjunction on Tuesday night. I set up on the east pad and did not go into the building. I’m posting just in case someone asks “where did these tire tracks come from”. It was one of the nicest nights I have had there in quite a while. I setup the SeeStar and kicked back to listen to the coyotes sing.
It was so clear I could see Mars’ red color without my glasses or binoculars. That might have been aided some by being close on the eastern horizon.
I was there until 4:00am. The Geary police was out watching at 1:00am but sleeping at 4:00am

I was at Packsaddle WMA Monday night, the conjunction looked really cool. I got the conjunction in a nightscape pano I did with some red aurora to the North East.

I observed this conjunction Wednesday morning before I went to work. Carried out my little Astro-Tech 102ED on Orion EQ-26. There was a double shadow transit (Io/Europa I think) on Jupiter at the time, ~5:30am that I saw with 204x. Caught both planets in same field with 9mm EP (79x). Took a shot with my phone, overexposed but there it is.
