Fossil Footprint Nebula
Located in Perseus about 9,000 ly from Earth is the Fossil footprint nebula. (The footprint, center blue, supposably represents a dinosaur footprint.) I imaged this object a couple of nights ago when the sky was much better than normal. There are several extremely massive stars embedded in the nebula; their powerful energy emissions creating the numerous waveforms seen. With a total of 7.5 hours of integration, this final image processed in Pixinsight. The telescope was a C9.25 using a H694ccd and narrow band filters.
