Have we considered using the forum to augment our tracking of our Club Telescopes?
The current webpage IS an excellent resource of inventory, availability and process, but it doesn’t yet provide visibility or tracking as to who has the equipment or requests to check it out.
I’m delighted that the club has a number of telescopes that we can check out. I’ve checked out the Lunt LS60 THa on two occasions.
It was just returned back to Quartermaster, @cpetroff for availability at the upcoming Camp Claphands.
Yes I have suggested this several times. It never went anywhere. It would make it an easy way to know what’s available and who has it checked out.
@DaveNH6SM I’m glad that it’s not a silly idea. Even if it hasn’t been practiced before, I would personally like to begin doing so.
If you recommend where to start the thread, I’ll be happy to do so, and to create a link to the first post that can be pinned.

simple instruction to tag the quartermaster as a member posts requesting to checkout and as we return the telescope (or mount, etc.)
Before doing so, I’ll wait a bit to give @cpetroff a chance to provide input.
First, the checkout inventory webpage is very out of date, and that is on me. We have lots of things not listed there as yet. I have been thinking about how to completely revamp that inventory page, and hope to have something ready before much longer.
I dont mind the idea of a dedicated forum, but I dont like the idea of people knowing who has what checked out. I dont think we want members directly asking each other to return items or reliquish them. 
The requests should flow through the Quartermaster. We just need a Quartermaster who can stay on tip of it!
