I had less than perfect conditions last night. We were dodging clouds and the atmosphere was soupy. Combined with the light dome of Lawton, it was less than ideal, but I managed to snag these three images.
Very nice! I have been considering buying either an S30 or S50. Both scopes seem to be great values, combining many components into a single, easy to use package. I know the scopes will automatically stack and process the images, but is there an option to use a more traditional flow - such as gathering the lights, darks, flats, and biases so that you could post process the images in software like Siril? Part of the fun for me is the processing.
What happened to your horse head nebula?
Yes, you can do all of that with the S50
It was high clouds, I think… was a terrible picture and I plan to try again…
Looks like you’re getting along great with your new scope! I’m just glad someone is using it. After evaluating them, I almost never used my S50 or S30, though both are great scopes.
