Thanks, Andy, for sharing!
Andy,
Thank you for sharing.
Here’s the video of totality from Oden, Arkansas. No audio, just the Sun and Moon dancing together. 4 minutes 17 seconds compressed into 50 seconds.
Nice view, thank you for sharing!
Mom, Dad and I made our way to Franklin Indiana for the eclipse. It was a successful adventure and the eclipse was great. Today I finally got some time to start working on the photos. Included here is the sequence. I still have a lot of data to go through. For the most part my rig all worked.
Thank you!
Beautiful work!!!
@JRMacy Excellent work!
@Andy_Fryhover These are really cool, thank you!
I like it! We need some more of that!
Nice focus and speed, Andy. It is pretty hard to get those canyons and pop out like that.
@kenmason11 love those pics! Great job.
I dont have anything near as pretty as some of you guys, but i had my first big astronomy project. I provided my knowledge to help the Engineering club build a solar funnel. Its a frankenstein because limited time and school funds, but it still got so many people excited about astronomy!
That is a really cool solar funnel! Fantastic!
Here’s my first go at animating the eclipse. 2.5 hours compressed into one minute. Some occasional clouds passed through during the partial phases, but totality was mostly clear. I probably should have captured an image every 30 seconds during the partial phases instead of every minute for a smoother animation.
Captured from Oden, Arkansas.
Equipment: Orion ST-80 (80 mm f/5) telescope; Orion Solar Filter; Orion Field Flattener; Baader Fringe Killer Filter; ZWO ASI482MC camera.
Very cool!!! Well done, that looked like a fun time
Great job Russ, it’s amazing we all got the “same data” to analyze. I mean, I’m not used to everyone shooting the same thing at the same time. It is cool seeing the same Prominences that I’m editing too. It is something we all shared, just amazing.
