After meeting everyone at Hideaway Pizza, I decided to go attempt to get some images of the Aurora north of Edmond. Here are the only ones that turned out.

Awesome! Sorry I missed the meeting, I had to work late on a project. I just got back from taking a few photos of the Aurora. I drove out to the exit to CRO, went about 5 miles, and then found a dark place to take a few time-lapses and photos. I’m woking on them right now.

360-degree pano of rare Central Oklahoma Aurora.

Taken at a location about 35 West of the Oklahoma City Metro, not a very “dark location”, but far enough away from the city lights to see Magenta, Purple, and a small amount of Green Aurora. I heard about this event late and rushed out to get a decent photo.

Did anyone see any Aurora Saturday night? None seen at CRO.

We didnt get to see them either night, unfortunately. I appreciate the pictures

Sadly, when I got to Yukon after Hideaway, I did not see any. I looked Saturday evening, but was too cloudy. Probably going to be too cloudy tonight, also.

I’m sad. I miss seeing the Aurora. It and the total eclipse are the best things to see in the sky, imo.

Hoping it clears enough this evening, supposed to be another round coming. :+1::grin:

Well scratch that, just read that the big CMEs are done and over for the moment.

But here is a chance to view a gallery of images from the event. It was said that it was seen even in Hawaii!
