I’m a tent camper. Is a canopy is completely necessary for me? I drive a Chevy Traxx which will be really loaded so I was thinking of not bringing one. It looks like the temps in the OK panhandle in October are on the cool side anyway(?)

I don’t think you need a canopy. It should be a bit cooler in October. Every now and then we can get a strong gust of wind that will take out a canopy if it’s not good and secure.
Even in October, a canopy can be useful to stay out of the sun if you burn easily…
