Very nice, excellent!
We got to see the comet at Bluff Creek Park tonight.
Great shot @Andy_Fryhover! We saw it at Bluff Creek this evening but it was pretty dim and couldn’t see much of a tail. But at least I finally saw it again!
I think I’m heading out to Windsurfer point this evening around 7:30.
Just taking my phone and a tripod.
Observed the comet tonight, 10/14. Wish my eyepiece had been clean Arrrg!

That is awesome!
Observed the comet again last night. It has faded a couple magnitudes to ~3.5 but still was quite good.
Astro-Tech 102ED refractor, 17.3mm Delos, iPhone 16ProMax, 5sec. exposure
A closeup of C/2023 A3 from my SeeStar S50 taken last evening, showing, I’m assuming, an anti-tail, and a meteor crossing its path during one of the 20-second exposures. Total integration time was 3:40.
Nice detail! This has been a really nice comet watching time.
Thanks JR. I has been one for the books.
The comet has faded to 4.3magnitude but is still a very good target. It is high enough now I can see it above the trees from my house.
APM 152ED refractor on Atlas mount, 17.3mm Delos, iPhone 16 ProMax, 5second exposures. 2x and 3x zoom. No editing.
Very nice images.
I could shoot it from my backyard in Yukon last night, too. It was up high enough, and the moon hadn’t risen yet. I got 35, 30-second subs tracking the comet’s core and 35, 10-second subs tracking the stars at 200mm focal length and F4. I’ll try to process it later today, but I have to leave for work now.
