Greetings,
I am doing research on recommended batteries (mounted on the rocker box) for my 25" Classic Obsession w/ Argo and ServoCat Gen 3.
Not being familiar with the latest in battery technologies, I would be very interested in learning what others with similar set ups are using or might be willing to recommend.
Thanks in advance (trying to get geared up for Okie-Tex)
I use a yeti power cube called goalzero 400 - it serves me well - it has 120 inverter built in and will power my Cpap for 8-10 hours , in addition to 2 usb a ports - to charge my phones , and my grandkids toys - it also has a cigarette adapter output - I bought mine about 4 years ago- it was expensive and after 4 years the physical ports are a little wore out but it serves me well ! If I would of gotten the next step up it might have been a little too heavy - the 400 size is kind of like the Goldilocks weight - the newer ones feature the newer type c
I realize this post is on the older side, but hopefully anyone stopping by in the future can benefit. I can’t comment on the particular setup, but I did note an important difference in chemistries when looking into my the battery bank for my EQ6R Pro & other gear.
Lithium iron (LFP) is a potential alternative to other lithium ion technologies. On the negative side of things, LFP is heavier and less energy-dense than lithium ion technology. On the positive side, LFP maintains its maximum energy storage better over time and over many more charge/discharge cycles. It’s also more chemically stable, reducing risks of overheating or fire, and improving its maximum charge lifetime when exposed to cold and/or hot environments compared to standard lithium ion.
Clear skies and long-lived batteries!
