3I/ATLAS, Another Try on 01-18-26

I wasn’t satisfied with the previous images of 3I/ATLAS I posted here. I was too cautious to avoid trailing and only used two-minute subs. Those showed 3i’s head, but not much at all of its tail and coma. I thought I’d take a chance and try again with three-minute subs. So, last Saturday night, I gave it another go. Here are the results: a bit more coma and tail, and no apparent trailing.

Animation: Approximately one-hour sequence of 16 three-minute images.

Image: 16 three-minute images stacked for total integration time of 48 minutes.
