# STEM Outreach at Trinity School at Edgemere - Nov 5

We have been invited to support their first annual STEM event at Trinity School at Edgemere, 3200 N. Walker Ave, in OKC on November 5, 5:30pm to 7:30pm. We can set up as early as 4:30. Trinity School serves 243 students - all with learning differences. They’re expecting several hundred parents and students to participate. Activities will be throughout the school.

If the weather is clear enough, they would like both indoor and outdoor activities from us.

I scouted the area on Thursday and indoors we would be in their library on the second floor. Outdoors, we’d be on the playground on the south side of the building. Our view to the north would be limited, but we should have great FOVs to the E-S-W. Lights should not be too bad. Much better than we’ll have at Paseo, a couple blocks away, the following night. (clouds permitting, of course).

I plan on doing the inside activity with a slide show on their big screen TV, plus have handouts and magazines available. Probably a static display or two of different telescopes. I’d like at least one more club member with me inside to help with questions, etc.

Outside I hope we could have at least 2-3 club members, with a combination of both visual and smart scopes set up. Binoculars would be great, too!

For outside setup, go to the lot on the NORTH side of the buildings. There’s a gate there, with paved walk to the playground to the south. They should have a couple of carts to assist getting gear to the field if you need them.

If you want to help inside, park on the south or west side of the building, and come in the front door on the south side of the building.

If you can help out, please post on here that you’re available and what you plan to set up if you’ll be outside. No need to bring anything if you want to help me inside.
