Piedmont schools has again asked us to do a viewing for the kids, their parents and their teachers. The event is scheduled for May 2nd. Sunset is 8:17 so we will set up at 7:30-45 and begin at 8pm. The event will be in the south parking lot of the Piedmont Middle School located at 977 Washington Ave in Piedmont. This is the same night as we hold our First Friday Public Observing Night at Arbor Gardens Park in Moore, but hopefully we’ll have enough folks to make both a success. With one on the south side and one on the north side, hopefully we’ll get some folks from Yukon, Moore, and NW OKC to support this, while our folks in Moore, Norman, and S OKC can support the other.
I now live very close to Piedmont, so I’ll probably come to this one, and let our south side members man First Friday.
I’ll be bringing one, maybe two, of my smart scopes. Not sure which ones right now.
Please note this is not being held at the same location as last time.
Oops. Sorry, When I went to put this on my calendar, I saw that I will be out of state that weekend. So I will not be able to attend either event.
