It will be ok lol. Mostly an annoyance to be dealt with.
Had a nice night just a bit warm. Joel had his telescope setup and we got to look at the Sun. Had some nice Sunspots. Gerald had his binoculars setup with solar filters. We didn’t have much of a turnout of visitors maybe 5 stopped by to ask what we were looking at. Joel saw a bright meteor and I saw it out of the corner of my eye. The Constellations were looking really good even with a bit of thin clouds. Just as we were getting to leave about 9:40pm we saw something get bright then disappeared and bright again. This happened about 4 times. I looked at my App and didn’t show any satellites in that area.
Thanks to all who supported this, and wanted to support it! I.e., Rachel…
Hope your car is drivable again!
Yeah, we got it taken in the next day. Went ahead and replaced the other one too, and still was cheaper than groceries, lol
We have First Friday Public Viewing Night at Lake Hefner Windsurfer Point on Sep 1st. Sunset is at 7:58pm and the Moon rises at 9:14pm. Saturn rises at 7:42pm. Going to bring my Orion 6” Starblast telescope.

Finally the forecasts are for just about perfect viewing conditions! I’m planning on arriving around 6:30 and set up for some solar viewing before sunset. I’ll have both my EA scopes and a manual for solar viewing.
I’ll be there as well. / Randy
I’ll be around too, see you then!
I expect to be there lol fingers and toes crossed
I plan on attending. See you all on Friday.
Can someone please drop a pin or GPS coord? There doesnt seem to be much on google for Windsurfers Point. If not, I am just driving all the way around the lake, hoping to see telescopes. This is my first time out to a public viewing. See everyone later
Perfect, thank you.

First Friday is a go! Beautiful weather! A tad windy, but under 10mph. 5 of us are doing some solar viewing right now. For directions, go to the link to the club calendar on the club webpage select the event and click on get directions.
Or, just take the Hefner exit from the Hefner Parkway, then take the next left, and go as far as you can. You’ll see several scopes set up.
I came out tonight and brought my old Tasco Refractor. I got a load of help from a couple members, you know who you are and I don’t remember names well.
My girlfriend’s son came out with me and he really enjoyed it as well. Thank you OKCAC. I now know I have the bug and I think the kids do too.
It looked like everyone had a good time. @NateWoollard glad you came out!
Had quite a few members and visitors
Was a very fun night. I had a great time seeing some familiar faces and meeting new folks. Seeing starlink was wild. Thank you @R.Palmer for letting me use your tripod to get some photos of the scopes. Will definitely have to come out there again.
