It was. I’m not sure if I did that or someone else did, I decided to cancel tonight anyway. Forecasts are about the same as the last few days, and everyone knows it as First Friday.
I was actually planning to go ahead and go tonight. I suppose I am not a regular attendee though. 
Yea, that makes sense. I was going to go tonight, but it looked like we’ll have an overcast all day. Now I’m twice as sad I didn’t bring my Seestar with me last night to Mustang. It was actually clear.
I am still thinking about going anyway, doing some drone flying before dark, and seeing how it goes for observing. Weather does look marginal, but possibly clearing out some at the right time.

Starting to think this is a bad idea. 
Based on what I see now, I will not be going. I am starting to think the NWS hourly forecast was/is innacurate.

The next First Friday Public Observing Night is tonight Aug 1st at Arbor Gardens Park in Moore. Sunset is at 8:33pm and the Moon will already be up.
I don’t think I will make it out tonight. Checking to see if someone will be covering tonight. We have the Scouts asking if it is still on?
I am planning on being there. As per usual, for first Friday, the forecast does not look great, but i will try to make an appearance.

The forecasts I see are partly to mostly cloudy, clearing slightly around 10. If it doesn’t improve, I probably won’t come down, but I’ll check around 6 and see how it’s doing.

Should we let the scouts know that viewing might not be possible?
I don’t know how to contact them. But hopefully they’ll look up and see if it’s clear or not.
And Jim will be there if they do show up. I may come down too, regardless of the weather. Not sure yet.
Well I meant that they contacted Dave to ask if it was still on so I assume he was going to get back to them.
Hopefully it clears off enough to see the moon or something

We didnt have much luck on the last ‘First Friday’ outing… I am thinking of going out to Arbor Gardens tonight 8/23/25… The weather looks abit more favorable tonight. Anyone else interested?
