All Members Nights at CRO 2025

I won’t be out as my Daughter and granddaughter are coming for dinner. Also, the clouds are supposed to worse the farther west one goes I’m afraid.

CRO IS OPEN!

A bit breezy and partly cloudy, but should be great for optical viewing.

Grass is mowed (Thanks Ron and Dave!) and pads trimmed.

I was really wanting to head out tonight, but I have not been feeling well all week and between getting over all that and needing to get caught up on things too, I have decided to stay home tonight.

I hope the skies clear and there is good viewing for all!

I’m heading out shortly. Hoping for clearer sky’s.

Partly cloudy isn’t bad. There should be enough openings for members on pads, the C14 and the 30".

Glad so many can come out! Sorry Chris P. isn’t feeling well.

Wish I could be there, but I’m hosting and grilling for a long overdue family gathering tomorrow.

??? Gas is mowed?:rofl::rofl: Gotta love typos, spice of life.

I wish I could have helped, but glad others were able to step in. And you got fed to boot

Gas. Grass. Close. I blame all the nearby naturual gas wells.

Well, it was a pleasant evening, but a bit too cloudy for much observing. Even visual observing. Astrophotography was defintely out.

We had about a half dozen members out tonight and Dave (and maybe others) conducted training on the 30". Glad to see it’s getting a lot more use these days!

Hopefully next weekend’s AMN will be sans clouds!

Thankfully the sky continued to clear up as the night went on. By around 11pm to midnight, the only clouds that remained were out on the Eastern horizon and continuing to dissipate as I left around 1am.

It was a pleasure meeting you all! Thanks to Dave, Ron & Chris for walking me through the 30" telescope, glad to see it’s in good working order. They’re pretty close to having a good written protocol in place for its operation by the uninitiated.

Here’s a quick Milky Way shot from my phone, since the clouds had made it seem like a full astrophotography setup would have been pointless earlier in the evening:

Of course it cleared up after several of us left…

I plan on showing up, Dave

I am planning on coming out on Saturday. Looking forward to it.

I’ll come out and open up, if necessary, an hour before sunset.

I’ll help with the C14 and or the 30", as needed.

Thanks to the CRO members who have worked hard to mow and spray!

Clear skies!!

I’ll be coming as well, looking forward to it.

Clear skies indeed, Marv! :crossed_fingers:

I’m heading for CRO this evening, as the forecast is great for tonight, and not as good tomorrow night. Don’t know if I’ll go tomorrow night too or not right now.

If any regular club member, or guests, etc., wants to come out tonight, you’re welcome. The building will be open, but probably not the 14” or 30”.

I plan on being there tonight.

Very good, Jessica! I’ll be there early, unless there are actually storms brewing. Clouds won’t stop us.

It may get cool after sunset. Often much cooler than the city. Just saying.
